Ratified by relative departments, led by CATARC and drafted by SwARC and other work units, two new standards’ compiling work starts-up formally. The two standards are the standard for national environmental protection products (HJ/T)-Measurement method for PM loading of vehicle-used catalytic converters and national non-compulsive standard-Vehicle manifold catalytic converter.
Nowadays, PM Pt, Pd and Rh work as catalyzer in vehicle-used catalytic converters. The loading and ration of PM, which is the key and hot issue in catalytic research and the breakthrough of production quality coherence control, plays an important role in catalyst performances and its useful life. There will be, in addition, more and more adoption of stainless steel exhaust manifold and close-coupled catalyst with approaching national emission regulation stage Ⅲ and meeting much stricter emission regulations. The two new standards compiling will provide new methods for technical quality management and basic method proof for relative manufacturers’ quality checking.
The compiling work is schemed to be completed by the end of 2008.
