Requirements and measurement methods of emission aftertreatment for diesel vehicles prepared by CATARC, SwARC, Wuxi Weifu Lida, BASF Catalysts(Shanghai), Yunnan Filter Environmental Protection Technology Ltd.,Co, etc, passed deliberations a few days ago. The standard reviewing meeting was held by the Science and Technology Department of Environmental Protection Ministry in CATARC. Experts from enterprises, universities and research institutions and representatives from management departments attended the meeting. Mr. Li Mengliang, a senior engineer from Test and Research Institute of CATARC, gave a presentation on the preparation of the standard. The standard firstly puts forward requirements and measurement of emission aftertreatment for diesel vehicles, and provides technical support on standardizing and promoting the exploitation and application of diesel vehicle aftertreatment devices and strengthening the quality supervision on aftertreatment devices, which play an important role in the development of emission control technology.

 

　　Emission aftertreatment devices for diesel vehicles mainly include DPF, DOC, SCR and their combined units. Domestic and foreign experience shows that emission aftertreatment technology must be adopted when the emission regulation for diesel vehicles is tightened to stage IV or above. Compared with TWC for petrol vehicles, emission aftertreatment devices for diesel vehicles are more complex and it is more difficult to make the standard.
