The 7th board meeting was held on Oct.10, 2008. All directors including Zhao Hang-Director of CATARC and J Dan Bates-President of SwRI, were present at the meeting. According to the Constitution of the Company, Mr. Zhao Hang and J Dan Bates were confirmed as chairman and vice chairman of the new Board respectively. And a new supervisor was elected in the meantime.
The meeting was held when the company has been established for three years. In these three years, the catalyst research ability of the company has been approaching and researched international advanced level by recruiting talents and improving technical equipments; the main business of the Company has achieved steady and rapid increase with the support from CATARC and SwRI and the efforts made by all employees; some projects with rich technical content were taken and completed, such as 4 national and industrial standards related with catalytic converters. May 2008 is the landmark for the company’s development. The Company took the lead in getting CMA certificate among many foreign invested laboratories, so the test results and data provided by SwARC are of legal effect.
Directors of both parts listened to and discussed the Business Report of last period at the meeting, and affirmed the Company’s development. It was agreed that the previous steady and effective work of the joint venture company made a fairly good foundation for the company’s next stage development. And higher requirements were put forward and disposed in details. In order to achieve the rapid and sound development of the company, the Company plans to introduce foreign visiting scholars to work in China, strengthens management methods such as target management and ability achievement evaluation, etc, optimizes outside supports and employee team, and supports feasibly the forming and improving of the Company’s research and innovation ability.
