National environment protection standard HJ451-2008 Specifications for Environmental Protection Product-Diesel Engine Vehicle Emission Aftertreatment Devices was ratified and issued by National Environmental Protection Department on Dec 10. As the firstly issued industry standard, HJ451-2008 supports the testing and technical research of diesel engine vehicle emission aftertreatment. Based on the standard, SwARC could provide the testing service.
Entrusted by National Environmental Bureau and hosted by CATARC, SwARC, Wuxi Weifu, Shanghai BASF, Yunan Filter, etc co-took part in formulating the standard at the end of 2006. The diesel engine vehicle emission technology is relatively complex: various technical strategies, multiple choices such as DOC, DPF, SCR, etc and the derivative systems made up by above mentioned units. In these two years, information has been summed up, tests have been validated, the draft standard has been polished several times and social responses have been collected widely. The formulation work was completed successfully with SwRI ‘s technical supports and advices from part of diesel engine manufacturers and aftertreatment device suppliers.
Besides this standard, SwARC also completed HJ331-2006
Specifications for Environmental Protection Product-Catalytic Converters for Diesel Engine Vehicles, and drafted the industry standard
PM Loading in Catalytic Converters and the national standard
Testing Methods for Manifold Catalytic Converters, which have passed the censors and will be issued and implemented.
